Editorial & Sourcing Policy
Newsei is an aggregation and analysis site. This page states plainly where our material comes from, what is automated, and how we fix mistakes.
Which sources we use
We index public feeds from established news organisations, wire services and primary sources such as government and institutional publications. Each source carries a weight reflecting its track record, and every story page names the outlets behind it with a link to the original article.
What is automated
- Collecting articles from public feeds and grouping them by event is automated.
- Summaries, claim labels and confidence levels are produced with AI assistance and reviewed by the editor.
- AI is never used to invent facts, quotes or sources. Everything traces back to a linked article.
How claims are labelled
Confirmed means multiple independent sources report it. Reported means a single credible source has it. Disputed means credible sources disagree. Developing means the picture is still changing. Labels are judgements and can change as reporting evolves.
Corrections
Errors are corrected on the page where they appeared, and a story whose substance changes is marked as corrected. Report a problem to info@newsei.com with the page URL.
Advertising and independence
Advertising is clearly separated from editorial content and is labelled. No advertiser, publisher or third party can buy placement in our story rankings, alter a confidence rating, or have a story removed. We publish no sponsored content.
Takedowns and rights
Publishers who do not want their feed indexed can write to us and we will remove it. Details of our approach to source material are in the Terms of Use, and the mechanics are in the methodology.
