How we verify

About Newsei

Newsei exists because the same event is written up a hundred times a day. We group that reporting into one living page per event so you can see what happened, what is confirmed, and who is saying it.

What we do

  • Read public news feeds from established publishers and primary sources.
  • Group articles covering the same event into a single story cluster.
  • Show how many independent sources back a story, and label claims as confirmed, reported or disputed.
  • Keep each story updated over time rather than publishing a new article per update.

Who runs it

Newsei is an independent project published from Ontario, Canada. Editorial decisions — which sources are trusted, how stories are labelled, what gets corrected — are made by the site's editor, not by advertisers or publishers.

How it is funded

Newsei is free and carries no paywall. Running costs are covered by advertising. Ads never influence which stories appear, how they are ranked, or how confidence is reported.

Corrections and contact

If something on the site is wrong, we want to fix it. Email info@newsei.com with the page and the problem, and read our editorial & sourcing policy for how corrections are handled.
